What they do

A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for greeting customers promptly as they enter the service drive and prepping the customer vehicle for service work with steering wheel cover and floor mat. This position also entails communicating effectively with the service staff to ensure productivity within the department while following Dealership specifications and safety standards.

Service Manager Job Duties:
Greet Customers promptly Add steering wheel cover and floor mat to each vehicle. Get correct mileage of vehicle and any maintenance or trouble codes displayed to service advisor. Open hood on vehicle (advisor will look under the hood during the walk around) Add tag to key and rear-view mirror. Then pull vehicle between the buildings (Red = Waiter, Green = Not Waiting) Pull Red tag vehicles into service lane and notify service advisor. Park Green tag vehicles on finish line pointed north. Lock the vehicle and then hand keys to service advisor whose name is on the key tag. Wash vehicles in dealership car wash, if the temperature is 28 degrees Fahrenheit or above. Bring customer vehicles in when the service advisor requests it. Shuttle customers who need transportation. Always keep service lane floor as dry and clean as possible by using the provided squeegee. Fuel new and used vehicles as needed. Check tire pressure as needed. Make runs for the office when needed. Lock vehicles between the buildings at night and put keys in the box. Pull in loaner/rental vehicles when needed and report mileage to the service advisor. Empty all trash in service lane daily. Help make coffee. When loaners are returned, check for damage/level of fuel and run through car wash every time. If loaner needs interior cleaned, take to detail to be cleaned. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Prior detail experience is preferred but not required
Exemption Status:
Service Porter is a non-exempt position. You are required by Federal and State Law and by Reineke Family Dealerships to keep an accurate record of all hours you work each day. Failure to comply with this requirement can result in disciplinary action up to and including termination. The dealership is an "at-will" employer, meaning that your employment has no specific term, and that the employment relationship may be terminated at any time at the will of either party on notice to the other. Nothing contained in your commission (compensation/pay) plan should be understood to alter the nature of the at-will employment relationship or create a contract of employment for a specific term.
