Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Cleaner to join our daytime cleaning team in Geneva, working Monday through Friday mornings. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming commercial environments. As a key member of our facilities maintenance crew, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality cleaning services that meet safety standards and client expectations. Your proactive approach and commitment to excellence will help ensure our facilities remain pristine and well-maintained every day. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas, ensuring all surfaces are sanitized and presentable Operate various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers to maintain floors and surfaces in top condition Handle chemical agents safely according to safety protocols and proper handling procedures to ensure a secure environment for yourself and others Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of cleaning supplies and equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices Maintain cleanliness standards by performing custodial duties such as trash removal, dusting, mopping, and disinfecting high-touch areas Follow safety protocols consistently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs or reporting issues requiring specialized attention Experience Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a commercial setting is highly preferred Familiarity with cleaning techniques for different surfaces and materials, including floor care and sanitation procedures Experience handling chemical agents safely and knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and industrial cleaning tools effectively Strong understanding of safety protocol adherence during manual handling and heavy lifting tasks Customer service skills that promote a professional and friendly approach when interacting with colleagues or visitors Prior experience in industrial cleaning or porter roles is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific equipment or procedures Join us in creating clean, safe environments where teams can thrive!
