What they do

A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Responsibilities:
The Housekeeping position cleans all daycare rooms (8), restrooms inside the classrooms, Eastside men and women restrooms, and daycare office area. This person reports directly to The Executive Director. The Housekeeping position follows the list below and all other cleaning duties as assigned. This is full-time position.
Job Duties:
Clean tables Clean table legs Remove residue from tables (food, etc.) Clean chairs Clean chair legs Clean counters (smooth to the touch) Remove residue from cabinets (tape, etc.) Vacuum rugs/carpet Clean under and behind all items (trash can/cubbies/rugs/soft areas/chairs/tables) Clean doorframes Clean the bathroom sink/faucet Clean the toilet in the bathroom (inside/outside/under/behind/around) Clean mirror in the bathroom Remove food/residue from all walls Sweep floors Mop floors Clean door handles Clean light switches Clean daycare office areas (dust desks, lights, corners/vacuum) Clean windows (outside door/inside office windows) Clean entryway (sweep/vacuum/mop) Remove all trash take to the dumpster Clean refrigerators inside/outside (2 minis in office/1 mini in resource rm/2 full in resource rm) Clean resource room (sweep/mop/dust) Clean trash cans inside & outside Clean out buggies (no trash/toys/etc./vacuum out & wipe down as needed) Clean cots & baby beds & mattresses (disinfectant needed) Clean vents inside the classrooms & daycare office Clean windows inside the classrooms Clean baseboards
Schedule:
5:30pm-8:00pm, Monday through Friday.
