We are looking for candidates who have the following skills: Attentive to detail Safety Oriented Teamwork Driven Effective Communicators Punctual Self-Motivated Adapts to Change Organized SUMMARY Performs a variety of duties related to dish room services including scrubbing pots/pans, separating/rinsing/cleaning dishes, performing dish and pot retrievals from the restaurant, kitchen, and party rooms, and maintaining organization in the dish room. Other duties include aiding in private dining room setup and breakdown, off premise catering setup and breakdown, maintaining a clean, safe and sanitized dish room, and adhering to all restaurant and dish room specific practices, rules, and regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowing, maintaining, and executing the assigned station in all aspects. These aspects include cleanliness, organization, and constant forward progress. Offering aid to other stations which may need assistance once the assigned station is on task and clean, which may include carrying plates or bus pans up or down stairs. General upkeep of building appearances and safety practices, including but not limited to shoveling snow, sweeping, moping, and dispersing melting salts. Helping to setup or tear down in house/off premise events. This may include carrying plates, bus pans, and or tables up or down stairs, to and from vehicles, and/or in and out of houses, party centers, halls, etc. Completion of a closing cleaning checklist for the dish room. Communicates timely and thoroughly with management concerning all forms of employee personal issues, complaints and or requests including but not limited to requests for time off (personal or medical), concerns about scheduling and or work issues, and any type of policy infractions covered in orientation and or the Company Handbook. Communicates timely and thoroughly with management concerning dish room situations and/or concerns, including but not limited to equipment malfunctions, and/or improper execution of any and all procedures/restaurant practices. EXPERIENCE
No prior experience is necessary. This position requires a well-organized individual that is self-motivated and takes charge, is dependable and responsible, understands how vital time sensitivity is, is careful about detail and is thorough in completing tasks as assigned.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Able to read, listen carefully, ask questions effectively and thoroughly, and explain details specifically to customers. Is polite, smiles and genuinely enjoys interaction with customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract, work with money, and make change.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is required to regularly stand, stoop, kneel and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
