Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Cleaner at the YMCA Reynoldsburg, where your dedication to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment makes a meaningful difference. In this vital role, you will ensure that all areas of the facility are spotless, well-maintained, and inviting for members, staff, and visitors alike. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help foster a positive atmosphere that encourages health, safety, and community engagement. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of all indoor and outdoor areas, including floors, restrooms, locker rooms, gyms, offices, and common spaces. Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards. Assist with custodial duties related to facilities maintenance and industrial cleaning projects as needed. Support general facilities upkeep by reporting maintenance issues and assisting with light repairs or painting tasks when required. Follow safety protocols during cleaning procedures to ensure a secure environment for all staff and visitors. Collaborate with team members to prioritize cleaning schedules during peak hours or special events. Requirements Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, custodial duties or related facilities maintenance roles. Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques including floor care such as buffing and waxing. Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies is preferred. Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, bending, and reaching. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
