Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented General Cleaning Technician to join our team. This position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing comprehensive cleaning duties in commercial and residential settings, ensuring facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals with custodial experience seeking steady evening hours. Duties Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across assigned areas. Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures and protocols. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools efficiently. Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies and equipment in accordance with safe lifting practices. Assist with floor care tasks including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing floors to maintain their appearance. Support facilities maintenance activities as needed, including minor repairs or reporting issues requiring specialized attention. Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs professionally and courteously. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings preferred. Familiarity with cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and sanitation standards. Experience handling chemical agents safely and adhering to safety procedures. Knowledge of floor care processes such as buffing, stripping, and waxing. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safety protocols consistently. Previous experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is advantageous. Strong attention to detail combined with excellent organizational skills.
