Tank Wash Tech- 2nd Shift 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 1001 Vision Drive, Van Wert, OH 45891 From $18.50 an hour - Full-time Store & Haul Trucking 9 reviews From $18.50 an hour - Full-time 2nd shift: 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm (Sun-Thur) Job summary: To clean Store & Haul and outside carriers food grade tankers. Responsible for the cleanliness, accuracy of paperwork and day-to-day operations in the tank wash.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Clean food grade tankers using tools provided (pressure washer, spinner, etc.).
- Work with tank wash manager to ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of equipment.
- Maintain yard cleanliness (clean up debris)
- Perform daily checks on spotter equipment.
- Complete all trailer wash paperwork in full and without error.
- Perform daily/weekly tasks as assigned by manager (clean equipment, trash, inventory, clean floor, fill chemicals, etc.).
- Initiate and follow the downtime procedures when necessary.
- Adhere to all safety and department procedures and policies set forth in the tank wash.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75lbs. on a consistent basis.
- Ability to climb on trailer, catwalk, and around all equipment.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, see, hear, and use hand and finger dexterity for 8-10 to consecutive hours per day.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and in an environment that may exceed 90°and working with 200° water.
- Ability to work in a confined space and be exposed to strong, offensive odors.
- Ability and willingness to use all safety apparatus and PPE that is required to perform the essential functions of the position.
