Maintenance Assistant - Part Time Hospital or Nursing home experience preferred Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our dynamic Assisted Living team. In this vital role, you will support the upkeep and smooth operation of our facility by performing a variety of maintenance tasks. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure that our facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for residents, tenants, or staff. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across multiple trades while contributing to a positive environment. Responsibilities Assist with routine maintenance and repairs across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry systems using schematics and technical manuals. Operate tools and equipment, troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of facility assets. Support residential painting projects and basic carpentry work to maintain property aesthetics. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to prioritize work orders and ensure timely completion of tasks. Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure work environment. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field within manufacturing or residential settings. Knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical drawings helpful. Supervising or leadership experience is a plus, demonstrating the ability to guide team members effectively. Excellent customer service skills with a clear command of English for communication with residents or clients.
