Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in assigned areas. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, waxing, and stripping to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas regularly. Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts efficiently. Assist with basic maintenance tasks as needed, ensuring facilities are well-maintained. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly. Follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations. Experience Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not mandatory; we are willing to train the right candidate. Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment is a plus. Experience in floor care techniques such as buffing and waxing is advantageous. Knowledge of industrial cleaning methods or facilities maintenance will be considered an asset. Porter experience is beneficial for maintaining cleanliness in high-traffic areas.
