Temp-to-Hire Ready to Build on Your CNC Experience? Already have some experience running CNC equipment? ... This opportunity can help you take those skills further. Spherion Mid Ohio is hiring CNC Machine Operators in Wooster for a hands-on machining position where you'll do more than simply load parts and push a button. You'll operate CNC equipment, read blueprints, inspect your work, use precision gauges, perform tooling changes and make basic process adjustments as your skills develop. If you have at least a year of CNC or machining experience and you're ready to keep learning, we want to talk. What You'll Do Operate CNC machining equipment

Load, position and unload parts during the machining process

Monitor equipment and finished-part quality

Read and work from blueprints and specifications

Use gauges and precision measuring instruments to inspect completed work

Perform in-process quality inspections and document results

Change tooling as required

Make basic machine and process adjustments within your level of training

Monitor for defects, scrap and other quality concerns

Complete required production and quality documentation

Perform routine operator-level preventive maintenance

Follow established safety procedures and use required PPE

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Communicate equipment, quality and production concerns with team members What We're Looking For At least 1 year of CNC or machining experience

Ability to read and understand blueprints

Experience using gauges or precision measuring instruments

Basic mechanical aptitude

Strong attention to quality and detail

Good hand-eye coordination

Willingness to learn additional CNC processes and responsibilities

Dependable attendance and work habits

Ability to work effectively as part of a manufacturing team

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

High school diploma or GED required Experience with CNC mills, CNC lathes, tooling changes, machine adjustments, calipers, micrometers, gauges, SPC or in-process inspection may help you stand out. Build the Next Layer of Your CNC Skills If you're already comfortable around CNC equipment but aren't yet a full setup machinist, this could be a great next step.
