What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
Skills Proven working experience as a janitor; physically demanding and requires the ability to lift/move heavy objects, standing, bending, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies. Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets Integrity and ability to work independently High school degree
