Job Description
Position Summary We are looking for a dependable, motivated Service Porter to join our service department. The Service Porter plays an important role in keeping the service department organized, efficient, and customer-ready. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone interested in the automotive industry and looking to build a career as a service technician. For the right candidate, this position can provide a pathway into an Apprentice Service Technician position as skills, knowledge, and experience are developed. Responsibilities Move and park customer vehicles safely and efficiently. Pick up and deliver customer vehicles as needed. Assist technicians and service advisors with moving vehicles throughout the dealership. Maintain an organized and clean service drive, technician workspaces, parking areas, and service department. Perform basic vehicle checks and assist with vehicle preparation. Wash and clean customer vehicles after service when required. Check vehicles for personal belongings and report any concerns to the appropriate service advisor. Assist technicians with shop-related tasks and general vehicle maintenance duties. Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, work areas, and shop facilities. Retrieve and deliver parts, supplies, and equipment as needed. Follow all dealership safety procedures and guidelines. Provide friendly and professional service to customers and coworkers. Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Manager. Qualifications Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Ability to safely operate both automatic and manual-transmission vehicles. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay productive with limited supervision. Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn. Professional appearance and a positive attitude. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Previous automotive experience is helpful but not required .
