In this vital role, you will be part of a team maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment in a warehouse retail environment. Your proactive approach will ensure that all areas are sanitized to the highest standards, equipment is properly maintained, and stock assignments are handled efficiently. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a well-maintained facility while developing your skills in cleaning, custodial operations, and basic facilities maintenance. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment. Handle stock management duties by receiving, organizing, and replenishing supplies and cleaning materials efficiently. Complete provided onsite training. Follow strict safety protocols when handling chemical agents, ensuring proper storage, usage, and disposal to maintain a safe environment. Conduct routine inspections of facility conditions and maintain as assigned. Adhere to all safety procedures during lifting or manual handling activities to prevent injuries. Support overall facilities maintenance by ensuring cleanliness standards are met consistently across all areas. Qualifications Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles, with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums and sanitation tools. Ability to handle chemical agents safely following established safety procedures. Experience with stock handling and/or porter duties preferred. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, manual handling, and chemical handling safety procedures. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on sanitation and cleanliness standards. Have the stamina for lifting 25lbs, prolonged standing, walking, and manual tasks throughout the shift. Customer service skills are a plus for interacting professionally with team members and visitors.
