Responsibilities Perform routine light cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal to ensure a tidy environment. Handle cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and other custodial tools safely and effectively. Use appropriate chemical agents for sanitation while adhering to chemical handling safety procedures. Maintain floors through buffing, floor care, and basic maintenance to preserve their appearance and safety. Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities, including heavy lifting and manual handling practices. Restock supplies and ensure cleaning carts are organized and stocked for efficiency. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure swift resolution. Requirements Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred, with knowledge of commercial cleaning standards. Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely following established safety protocol procedures. Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools. Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation and cleanliness standards. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed. Basic understanding of facilities maintenance and industrial cleaning practices is a plus.
