Job Overview We are seeking an energetic TempLeary Day Janitor to join our team for a short-term assignment from August 12 to August 28. As a Temp Day Janitor, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks, ensuring all areas are spotless, well-maintained, and adhere to safety standards. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create an optimal space for staff, visitors, and clients alike. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment such as floor buffers and industrial cleaning tools Handle chemical agents safely, following all protocols for storage, usage, and disposal Conduct manual handling tasks including lifting of supplies, or equipment while practicing safe lifting techniques Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and disinfecting surfaces regularly Assist with light maintenance duties such as minor repairs like jammed dispensers or reporting larger issues to facilities management Use custodial equipment efficiently to ensure floors are clean and cared for properly Follow all safety guidelines related to chemical handling, lifting, and industrial cleaning procedures Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings Familiarity with cleaning techniques including floor mopping/vacuuming and floor cleaning procedures Experience handling chemical agents safely with knowledge of proper storage and disposal methods Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving safe lifting while adhering to safe lifting practices Prior experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles is advantageous Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude towards cleanliness and safety standards Ability to work efficiently during scheduled hours with minimal supervision This temporary position is paid and offers an excellent chance to showcase your cleaning expertise while supporting the upkeep of our facilities. You MUST have legal authorization to work in the US to gain access to this facility however. This client is a defense contractor and as such they have strict access protocols in place. You will be required to provide proof of work authorization prior to starting work. This can be accomplished by providing a US Passport, a birth certificate, or work authorization documents. These cannot be copies, and must be original documents for them to physically review onsite in order for you to obtain an access card and gain access to the facility which you will need to work. If you cannot meet this requirement, then please do not apply at this time. While this is a temporary assignment, this may lead to additional opportunities with our company if you desire other or more work in the future. Starting wage for this position is $19-$19.50 per hour depending on experience. If interested, please apply asap.
