This vital role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure all areas are hygienic, well-maintained, and presentable. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding high standards of cleanliness and safety. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a positive workplace atmosphere while developing valuable custodial skills. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Handle cleaning chemicals and agents safely, following proper chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or hazards. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition. Conduct sanitation procedures in restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure compliance with health standards. Assist with light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or minor repairs to keep facilities in optimal condition. Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting and manual handling activities to prevent injuries. Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, supplies inventory, and safety inspections for accountability and continuous improvement. Skills Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices. Skilled in the safe handling and application of chemical agents used for cleaning and sanitation purposes. Ability to operate various cleaning equipment including floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums efficiently. Strong understanding of safety protocol adherence related to heavy lifting, chemical handling safety procedures, and facilities maintenance. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and visitors. Physical capability for heavy lifting, manual handling, and standing for extended periods during shift hours. Familiarity with residential painting or general maintenance tasks is a plus but not required.
