A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

- Clean and maintain common areas, including hallways, lobbies, stairwells, and laundry rooms
- Ensure exterior areas, such as walkways, parking lots, and courtyards, are clean and free of debris
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the maintenance team Unit Cleaning for Turns
- Assist with cleaning vacant units during turnover periods
- Ensure units are thoroughly cleaned and ready for new residents
- Perform tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces Cleaning-Related Work Orders
- Respond to cleaning-related work orders from residents in a timely manner
- Address issues such as spills, stains, and general cleanliness concerns
- Communicate with residents to ensure their cleaning needs are met Team & Communication
Reports To:
Property Manager or Maintenance SupervisorDay-to-Day Support:
RAMs, Maintenance Technicians, and office staff.
Works With:
Maintenance team and other staff to ensure property cleanliness and resident satisfaction Work Hours & Availability Availability should generally be during office hours, Monday to Friday, but may vary due to property needs and schedule fluctuations depending on the time of year and partner university schedules.Job Types:

$16.50-19.50 per hour Expected hours: 24- 40 per week
