A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Janitor/Cleaner and play a vital role in maintaining a safe, spotless, and welcoming environment. This energetic position offers the opportunity to contribute to the cleanliness and upkeep of our Contracts. Your dedication will ensure that spaces are hygienic, organized, and inviting for everyone who enters. We value proactive individuals who take pride in their work and thrive in fast-paced settings. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies Conduct custodial tasks such as dusting, trash removal, window washing, and surface sanitizing to uphold high cleanliness standards Maintain floor care through buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to preserve flooring quality and appearance Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for fixtures, lighting, or equipment Assist with industrial cleaning tasks when required, including deep cleaning of large areas or specialized machinery spaces Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to ensure a hazard-free environment for yourself and others Keep detailed logs of cleaning schedules and completed tasks to ensure accountability and consistency Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings preferred Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing Experience with various cleaning methods including residential painting or industrial cleaning is a plus Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks throughout shifts Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods Must be able to Pass an extensive background check Be able to work independantly Be willing to schedule appointments and personal matters around work schedule.
