Job Description
The City of Medford is looking for a dependable, hardworking Day Porter Custodian to help keep the Rogue Credit Union Community Complex (Rogue X) clean, safe, and welcoming. This part-time, year-round position is a great opportunity for someone with custodial experience who enjoys staying active and working in a busy, public-facing environment. At Rogue X, no two days are exactly the same. You'll help maintain locker rooms, restrooms, meeting and party spaces, respond to spills and other immediate cleaning needs, empty trash throughout the facility, and help keep things running smoothly during busy sporting events, celebrations, and everyday activities. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can work independently, and is comfortable adjusting priorities when something needs attention. Required Education and Experience :
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent. Must be 18 years of age or older. Six (6) months or more experience as a custodian with an industrial, janitorial firm, or commercial business and thorough knowledge of custodial materials and methods.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working in a busy aquatic, gym, recreation, event, or other active public-facing facility environment.Available Schedule:
Friday- Sunday, 10:00 AM
- 6:30 PM The anticipated hiring range for the Custodian position is $21.

Position:
Cleans, sanitizes, and disinfects restrooms, break rooms and all public spaces. Stock custodial closets with appropriate supplies. Sweeps, vacuums, and mops (wet and dry) a variety of flooring materials Dusts furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment. Washes windows, mirrors and walls, tables, and chairs. Empties and disposes of collected waste, recycled goods and other materials. Adheres to safety practices and standards when performing all duties Event support including set up and breakdown. Other Functions of thePosition:
Scope of assigned area will depend on departmental and/or citywide operational structure and is at the discretion of the Supervisor. Performs a variety of minor routine building maintenance tasks; identifies and reports building maintenance needs in assigned buildings and facilities. Keep all equipment and tools in good operational condition. Upholds the values of the organization and has strong customer service orientation.
