Job Description

K&L Ventures is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Facilities Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment across two corporate buildings in Southpointe, Pennsylvania. Occasional work at other company locations may also be required. The Facilities Custodian will perform routine commercial cleaning in offices, conference rooms, hallways, restrooms, break areas, entrances, stairwells, and other shared spaces. This position will also assist with basic light-maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate is reliable, professional, attentive to detail, and able to work independently while following all safety, security, and confidentiality procedures. Position Details Full-time contract position Monday through Friday, 8 am-5pm, 40 hours per week 100% on-site Daily work divided between two corporate buildings Primary Responsibilities Clean, disinfect, and restock restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors, and dispensers Clean and sanitize offices, conference rooms, hallways, break rooms, entrances, stairwells, and other common areas Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, and spot-clean hard floors and carpets as needed Dust and wipe furniture, fixtures, windowsills, doors, glass, vents, and other frequently touched surfaces Empty trash containers, replace liners, and transport waste to designated collection areas Setting up and breaking down conference rooms or event spaces Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, monitor inventory, follow cleaning checklists, and safely store and use chemicals Perform light-maintenance tasks, including replacing light bulbs, minor touch-up painting, lubricating hinges, clearing minor drain blockages, replacing batteries, and reporting larger repair needs. Performing seasonal tasks such as salting walkways or clearing light snow near entrances Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Ability to successfully complete a background screening Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between buildings Previous commercial cleaning, custodial, or facilities experience preferred Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, equipment use, and safe chemical handling Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and follow established schedules and procedures Ability to maintain workplace confidentiality Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds Ability to safely use ladders and commercial cleaning equipment Dependable, professional, and detail-oriented
