Job Title:
Hospital Environmental Services Technician - 3rd Shift Job Description We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Hospital Environmental Services Technicians. This role involves cleaning and sanitizing hospital rooms, particularly following patient discharges. Successful candidates will be comfortable with extensive walking and working on their feet throughout the shift. The position requires attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Responsibilities Clean and sanitize hospital rooms, focusing on patient discharge sanitation. Wipe down equipment and surfaces, empty trash, sweep floors, and dust. Clean spills and mop surfaces as needed. Utilize hospital-issued iPhones to receive assignments and access cleaning tutorials. Navigate and learn the hospital floor plan efficiently. Essential Skills Experience with smart phone technology for accessing work assignments and tutorials. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted. Comfortable with extensive walking and prolonged periods on feet. Previous experience in janitorial or custodial roles, preferably in healthcare settings. Additional Skills & Qualifications GED or high school diploma preferred. Experience in manufacturing or distribution is considered with a willingness to transition to healthcare. Why Work Here? Work Environment This is a fast-paced and demanding environment, working the 3rd shift from 11:00pm to 7:30am, Monday through Friday, with every other weekend and major holiday required. Be prepared for jarring situations typical of a trauma center. Patience is required as onboarding may take several weeks, including the issuance of employee badges. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Danville, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
