A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.
Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Job Summary Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Part-Time Custodian supports general labor and custodial work across CSE building properties. This role assists full-time staff in maintaining clean, safe, and orderly facilities, ensuring a healthy environment for employees and guests. The custodian is responsible for completing daily, weekly, and special cleaning tasks. This position is ideal for a retired individual or a stay-at-home parent seeking steady, daytime hours in a supportive environment. Duties and Responsibilities Clean and maintain floors : Sweep, mop, wash, vacuum, and polish using brooms, industrial vacuums, floor scrubbers, and buffing machines. Manage waste and recycling : Empty trash cans, replace liners, transport contents to dumpsters, and break down cardboard for recycling daily. Service restrooms : Clean, sanitize, and restock supplies. Maintain lunchrooms and break areas : Clean, sanitize, and resupply utensils and condiments. Dust and polish furniture : Care for office and production area fixtures. Assist with seasonal upkeep : Help remove ice and snow from walkways as needed. Monitor facilities : Report repairs, safety hazards, or equipment issues to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor. Maintain recycling containers . Perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Educational Requirements High School diploma or GED . Ability to use ladders : Reach, remove, and replace light bulbs; dust walls and ceilings; clean high surfaces. General knowledge of cleaning products and methods. Awareness of safety practices : Working knowledge of occupational hazards and precautions. Experience preferred : Prior work in industrial building care and cleaning. Interpersonal Skills Teamwork and independence : Ability to work well with others and independently. Positive communication : Exercise discretion regarding company and staff information.

Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Environment :
Most duties are performed indoors under good conditions, with occasional exposure to inclement weather, water, dust, dirt, paint fumes, and cleaning chemicals. Physical Demands Active role : Walking, standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout the shift. Strength requirement : Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Mobility :
