A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

Job Summary- Janitor Keep the store in immaculate condition, while assisting customers with location of items. Respond promptly to maintenance calls by attending to spills, breakage and other incidents. Maintain and operate an electronic floor monitoring system. Maintain sanitation and supplies of all restrooms.
Assigned tasks include:
sweeping and mopping floors, replacing light bulbs, cleaning windows, emptying trash and garbage cans and other jobs required as store needs. Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, cases, sidewalks, parking lot and throughout the store and reporting hazards to Store Management. Properly handle products and equipment and follow sanitation practices for food safety guidelines. Physical Demands Stand on feet, bend, stoop or walk for majority of time on duty. Lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Work with cleaning solutions and chemicals. Use of basic tools and equipment such as a ladder, compactor, bailer and other power equipment. Ability to wear company uniform and maintain a groomed appearance.
Skills Requirements:
Friendly personality and customer service mentality.

Must be capable of learning to operate necessary equipment.

Must be able to properly use necessary cleaning supplies and hazardous materials.

Excellent time management skills.

Must be able to work 13-29 hours per week.

Must have weekend availability
