Dining Services Sanitation Steward Hours:

9:00AM- 5:30PM, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.

Pay:

$19.00 per hour, to commensurate with experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform routine cleaning, sanitation, and preventive maintenance of kitchen equipment, facilities, and dining service areas according to established schedules. Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment while following all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards. Clean and sanitize commercial kitchen equipment, floors, drains, refrigerators, freezers, hood filters, vents, walls, and other assigned areas. Complete equipment maintenance and cleaning records accurately and report maintenance, sanitation, pest, or safety concerns to management. Follow proper lifting techniques and safe work practices at all times. Assist with dishwashing, pot washing, and other sanitation duties as needed. Work independently while adapting to changing priorities and occasional alternate work hours for deep cleaning and preventive maintenance. Comply with all federal, state, and local health regulations, facility policies, HIPAA, confidentiality requirements, and mandatory training. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. 2-5 years prior experience in commercial food service operations, restaurant, hotel or housekeeping operations preferred.
