Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of residential or commercial spaces, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and surface sanitation Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures according to established health standards to ensure a safe environment Handle laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing as needed Maintain cleanliness of floors through proper floor care techniques including carpet cleaning and floor polishing Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, steam cleaners, and other janitorial tools efficiently and safely Manage outdoor work responsibilities like trash removal, outdoor surface cleaning, and maintaining entryways Use appropriate cleaning detergents and supplies while practicing manual handling techniques to prevent injury during heavy lifting or moving heavy objects Communicate effectively with clients or residents to understand specific cleaning needs and provide excellent customer service Ensure all surfaces are cleaned thoroughly including countertops, appliances, fixtures, and furniture surfaces Follow detailed cleaning schedules and manage time effectively to complete tasks within designated periods Qualifications Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles with knowledge of commercial or residential cleaning practices Familiarity with cleaning detergents, equipment operation, and sanitation procedures Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks with care Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for managing multiple cleaning assignments Good communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration Experience in outdoor work environments is preferred Knowledge of carpet cleaning techniques and floor care methods is advantageous Prior housekeeping management or custodial experience is a plus Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety standards Join us if you're passionate about creating clean, healthy spaces!
