This position of janitor/cleaner consists of keeping buildings in clean and orderly condition and perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls, glass, bathrooms, cafeterias and multiple office spaces, trash removal, along with tending to grounds (trash). Tasks Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Clean windows (inside), glass partitions, and mirrors. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Gather and empty trash. Notify management of minor and major maintenance issues (clogged toilets, lights out, etc.). Request of supplies and equipment needed for cleaning duties. Service, clean, and supply restrooms. Office cleaning (Light duty). Service, clean, and supply kitchens/cafeterias/kitchenettes Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors. Qualifications and requirements Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Ability to use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weakness of alternative solutions, and to adjust actions in relation to others' actions.
