Opportunity to apply and expand your custodial and maintenance expertise Essential Functions Assist in the hiring, training, and supervision of custodial staff assigned to the building
Personally perform custodial and maintenance duties as needed
Assign and oversee daily cleaning, custodial, and building security tasks
Oversee opening, securing, and locking of the school and designated entrances
Respond to and report emergency situations, including equipment failures, fires, hazardous conditions, security concerns, and other incidents
Attend meetings as requested by district leadership
Maintain custodial closets, tools, equipment, and supplies
Requisition custodial and maintenance supplies, materials, and equipment as needed
Operate and monitor building systems, including heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, and water treatment systems as directed
Maintain attendance and personnel records for shift staff
Report workplace accidents and complete required documentation
Report personnel and performance concerns and assist with resolution efforts
Perform grounds maintenance duties, including trash removal, mowing, trimming, and weeding
Perform building maintenance tasks as assigned
Assist with snow and ice removal as needed Qualifications High School Diploma or GED
Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License
Five years of building maintenance and/or custodial experience Skills and Abilities Ability to read, write, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to communicate effectively with staff, supervisors, and other stakeholders
Ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate custodial operations according to district procedures
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
