A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.
Weixler Cleaning LLC is hiring dependable, detail-oriented residential cleaners to join our team. This is a daytime, part-time position with approximately 20-25 hours per week.
SCHEDULE
Monday through Friday during daytime hours Exact days, start times, end times, and total hours may vary from day to day and week to week Scheduling is based on employee availability, customer schedules, and business needs PAY $16 per hour during the first 90 days $17 per hour after successful completion of the 90-day introductory period Eligibility for our performance-based bonus program after 90 days Bonuses may equal up to 5% of wages earned during each bonus period
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Clean customers' homes according to company standards and instructions Complete assigned cleaning tasks efficiently and thoroughly Work independently or as part of a cleaning team Provide friendly and professional customer service Use cleaning supplies and equipment safely and properly Travel to the office and customer locations as scheduled Accurately record work hours using a personal smartphone Communicate promptly with management regarding delays, scheduling issues, or customer concerns
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must: Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record Have their own dependable vehicle and be able to drive themselves Be able to drive between customer locations when a company vehicle is unavailable Not rely on another person for transportation Be reliable, punctual, and able to follow a changing schedule Be able to work independently without direct supervision Be detail-oriented and take pride in their work Have good communication and customer service skills Be able to follow written and verbal instructions Have a dependable smartphone with data for timekeeping, scheduling, and work communication Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and perform repetitive cleaning movements Be able to carry cleaning supplies and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds Be comfortable working in homes with pets Successfully complete a background check and driving-record check Because employees may work inside customers' homes without direct supervision, theft-related convictions and other offenses relevant to the position may disqualify an applicant.
TRANSPORTATION
Company vehicles are usually available for travel between jobs. However, the number of company vehicles is limited, and availability cannot be guaranteed. Employees must have their own reliable transportation and be prepared to drive themselves when necessary.
PHONE USE
Employees must use their own smartphone to view schedules, receive work information, and accurately record their hours. Personal calls, texting, social media, and other non-work-related phone use are not permitted while working except during breaks or emergencies.
