Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Cleaner to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment across our industrial and commercial sites. Your efforts will ensure that workspaces are hygienic, organized, and compliant with safety standards, supporting the overall efficiency and safety of our operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a well-maintained facility while honing your cleaning and custodial skills in a fast-paced environment. Duties Perform and verify cleaning and sanitization of manufacturing equipment, tanks, mixers, transfer lines, utensils, and packaging equipment. Handle chemical agents safely by following proper procedures for storage, mixing, application, and disposal to ensure safety for yourself and colleagues. Complete and review sanitation logs, cleaning records, equipment checklists, and related GMP documentation foraccuracy and completeness. Ensure proper handling, labeling, storage, dilution, and disposal of sanitation chemicals and cleaning agents. Partner with Production, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Maintenance teams to support production readiness and minimize downtime. Ensure proper completion of production changeovers and line clearance activities to prevent cross-contamination Perform additional duties as assigned to support manufacturing and facility operations. Qualifications Strong understanding of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), FDA regulations, sanitation procedures, and contamination prevention within regulated manufacturing environments. Minimum of 1-3 years of sanitation experience within a cosmetic, OTC, pharmaceutical, food, FDA-regulated, or cGMP manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while adhering to safe lifting practices. Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, or vacuums is preferred. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to sanitation standards and safety protocols. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety shoes and protective eyewear. Prior custodial or porter experience in facilities maintenance is advantageous. $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
