Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Part Time Janitorial Tech and become a vital part of maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for delivering top-notch custodial services across various facilities, ensuring all spaces are spotless, sanitized, and well-maintained. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help foster a positive atmosphere for employees, visitors, and clients alike. This position position is part time at 13 hours a week. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of commercial and residential spaces, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal. Handle cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums with care and precision to ensure optimal performance. Apply appropriate chemical agents safely for sanitation and stain removal, following all chemical handling safety procedures. Conduct floor care tasks including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain pristine surfaces. Follow safety protocols diligently during manual handling and heavy lifting activities to prevent injuries. Maintain cleanliness standards by inspecting work areas regularly and addressing any sanitation issues promptly. Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to the appropriate team members. Provide excellent customer service by responding professionally to inquiries or concerns from building occupants or visitors. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and commercial cleaning tools is advantageous. Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures ensures safe use of cleaning products. Experience with floor care techniques including buffing and polishing enhances the quality of work performed. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices is essential. Strong understanding of sanitation standards and facilities maintenance best practices is desirable.
