Job Description

We're hiring a casual, sanitation aide to work on an as needed basis to help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout Warren General Hospital. This substitute role, on-site role in Warren, PA includes daily cleaning and disinfecting of patient rooms, restrooms, clinical areas, offices, and public spaces in accordance with hospital protocols and infection control standards. The role involves handling and disposing of waste, including regulated and hazardous materials, restocking supplies, and operating cleaning equipment safely and efficiently. Sanitation aides work closely with clinical and non-clinical staff, respond to cleaning requests, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and team members. This casual position is a flexible schedule as needed and can include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet hospital needs if available.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services, especially in healthcare, is an advantage. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and push carts for extended periods; capability to follow written and verbal instructions and work both independently and as part of a team. Commitment to patient and staff safety, attention to detail, and adherence to hospital policies, infection control guidelines, and confidentiality standards.

From $15.00 per hour
