Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on commercial cleaning and facilities maintenance. Duties Perform routine custodial tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to ensure hygiene standards are met. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to maintain the appearance of flooring surfaces. Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or equipment malfunctions. Respond promptly to cleaning requests from staff or management, demonstrating flexibility in task assignments. Support residential painting projects as required, contributing to the overall upkeep of facilities. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of cleanliness across all areas. Qualifications Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred but not required. Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation is a plus. Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is advantageous. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Must possess a strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
