Job Overview Join our team as a Hood Cleaner Assistant and be a vital part of maintaining a safe, efficient, and hygienic kitchen environment. In this energetic role, you will assist with cleaning and degreasing kitchen exhaust hoods, ducts, and related equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and prevent fire hazards. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help keep the workspace clean, safe, and operationally efficient. Responsibilities Assist with the cleaning and degreasing of kitchen exhaust hoods, ducts, filters, and related components using appropriate tools and cleaning solutions Follow detailed safety procedures to handle cleaning chemicals and equipment responsibly Support the team in inspecting ventilation systems for blockages or damage and reporting issues promptly Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including storage zones and equipment storage spaces Help document cleaning activities, including completion of checklists and maintenance logs Collaborate with team members to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently within scheduled timeframes Adhere to all health and safety regulations to prevent accidents or hazards during cleaning operations Experience No prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided to develop necessary skills Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, lifting, and climbing ladders or scaffolding safely Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety protocols Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and work effectively within a team Willingness to learn about commercial kitchen ventilation systems and cleaning procedures Join us in creating safer kitchens by ensuring exhaust systems are clean, compliant, and hazard-free!
