A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

The Janitorial Specialist is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment within the facilities. The role involves performing various cleaning responsibilities to ensure the building is presentable and operational for employees and visitors.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 7 A.M.-3:30 P.M.
What you will do:
Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors Empty trash and recycling bins and ensure proper disposal. Night staff also dusts and clean surfaces, including desks, windows and furniture Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper Cleaning of cafeteria equipment before and after breakfast and lunch rush. Night staff organizes tables and chairs in cafeteria at days end Follow all safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly Spot cleaning of door and window glass Have an understanding of inventory levels and replenishment needs Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained and in good working condition Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Facilities Services Manager Assist with setting up and breaking down for events and meetings Education High School Diploma or GED required Experience 1+ years Previous experience in commercial janitorial work required Licenses and Certifications Must complete OSHA required training for custodians upon hire Required AAA Northeast is proud of our diverse culture, fostered by the many talents, skills, passions, and expertise of our employees.
