What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

- Perform general cleaning tasks to ensure the office premises are tidy and presentable
- Dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and kitchen areas
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify when reordering is necessary Experience
- Prior experience in janitorial commercial cleaning or cleaning of a bank is preferred
- Knowledge of buffing, floor care, and industrial cleaning techniques is a plus
- Familiarity with custodial duties and facilities maintenance
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
