A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Janitorial Contract Manager in Greenwood County, SC.
Shift:
Monday through Friday 6:30AM to 3:30PM. Must be available in late afternoon to conduct inspections occasionally

Responsibilities:
Coordinate the hiring process Interview candidates Assist with onboarding and training new hires Create effective schedules to meet budget obligations Maintain a quality environment meeting the expectations of the customer Inspect all cleaning procedures for the best results Coach employees into best practices for completing their duties especially after inspection of their work Maintain a par stock of supplies and order to budget obligations Complete payroll reports and communicate with HR Corporate in an effective manner Train all employees on safety protocols
Skills:
Minimum of 2 years experience managing a housekeeping department Excellent communication skills Strong decision-making skills Outstanding organization ability Ability to inspect a facility for cleanliness and compliance Ability to train new employees for success Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, push, pull and lift 25 pounds for the entire shift Must be able to pass a background check Must be able to pass a drug test 18 years of age or older Reliable transportation to work Adherence to all safety protocols Willingness to wear all required
