A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Responsibilities Empty trash and replace liners. Dust furniture, counters, ledges, and horizontal surfaces. Vacuum carpeted areas. Sweep and damp mop hard floors. Clean and disinfect restrooms, sinks, toilets, mirrors, and partitions. Restock paper towels, toilet tissue, hand soap, and other restroom supplies. Clean locker rooms, benches, and mirrors. Clean offices, conference tables, and administrative areas. Clean interior glass and entrance doors. Spot clean walls, doors, and high-touch surfaces. Remove cobwebs and maintain entryways. Clean pool house restrooms and remote golf course restrooms. Perform weekly and monthly deep cleaning tasks as assigned. Report maintenance or safety concerns immediately. Follow OSHA safety procedures and proper chemical handling guidelines. Lock and secure the facility upon completion of each shift. Qualifications Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience preferred, but not required. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy.
