Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Spartanburg, SC Performs custodial and housekeeping duties on USC Upstate campus for assigned buildings, specified areas, having knowledge of all buildings to be able to perform work in any building as needed or on a rotational building schedule with flexibility to work weekends and any shift. Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience Typically holds a high school diploma or GED . Requires 1 or more years of job related experience. Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials A valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma and at least 2 years related experience or equivalency. Considerable knowledge of custodial operations and methods. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities A successful background check and good driving record are required. Ability to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions. Understand and follow USC Upstate's general housekeeping standards. Ability to make minor repairs and adjustments of equipment.Exhibit large degree of flexibility:
will be assigned principally to one or two buildings to be able to perform work in any building as needed or on rotational building and must be knowledgeable of all buildings to be able to perform work in any buildings as needed or on rotational building schedule. Effectively uses work order management system. Follows OSHA standards and guidelines when performing duties. Successfully completes annual OSHA training. Job Duties Job Duty Performs general cleaning for all elements of restrooms, classrooms, lobbies, common areas, office areas, as well as all other building spaces. Performs all tasks necessary or essential to maintain the general cleanliness of buildings. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 50 Job Duty Performs general floor maintenance by polishing, buffing, stripping, sealing, washing all types of floors, using all methods of carpet/carpet care/cleaning including wet and dry, as well as other tasks necessary or essential to maintain floors. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 15 Job Duty Transports cleaning supplies and tools between Facilities and assigned buildings. Transports building waste/recyclables to designated disposal locations of dumpsters on campus as well as other tasks necessary. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 15 Job Duty Manages inventory supplies/materials for all buildings, monitoring event communication by special event posts, inspecting and reporting any building deficiencies to respective departments by generating work requests and entering work functions and data into the work management system.
