Spartanburg, SC Performs custodial and housekeeping duties on USC Upstate campus for assigned buildings, specified areas, having knowledge of all buildings to be able to perform work in any building as needed or on a rotational building schedule with flexibility to work weekends and any shift. Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience Typically holds a high school diploma or GED . Requires 1 or more years of job related experience. Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials A valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma and at least 2 years related experience or equivalency. Considerable knowledge of custodial operations and methods. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities A successful background check and good driving record are required. Ability to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions. Understand and follow USC Upstate's general housekeeping standards. Ability to make minor repairs and adjustments of equipment.

Performs all tasks necessary or essential to maintain the general cleanliness of buildings. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 50 Job Duty Performs general floor maintenance by polishing, buffing, stripping, sealing, washing all types of floors, using all methods of carpet/carpet care/cleaning including wet and dry, as well as other tasks necessary or essential to maintain floors. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 15 Job Duty Transports cleaning supplies and tools between Facilities and assigned buildings. Transports building waste/recyclables to designated disposal locations of dumpsters on campus as well as other tasks necessary.
