SDSU is seeking a motivated and dependable individual to join our team as Custodial Services Supervisor I for our Facility and Services department. This position is located in Brookings, South Dakota. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Job Responsibilities:
The purpose of this position is to supervise assigned staff and assist in cleaning assigned buildings. This will include giving work direction, provide training; managing leave for employees; order and maintain supplies for staff; and ensure assigned areas are clean.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of:
Commercial custodial work techniques Proper use of chemicals and equipment Computer software and systems (i.e., Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, AIM) Supervision techniques (management experience preferred) Skill & Ability to : Establish and maintain effective supervisory relationships. Plan and schedule work to meet competing deadlines. Recall, understand and follow basic administrative practices. Train subordinates and evaluate work of those supervised. Clean floors, bathrooms, showers, carpets, and walls. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Communicate effectively in writing Communicate effectively orally
Required License:

Comments:
Normal hours are 5am-2pm, Monday through Friday; however, schedule adjustments will occur occasionally in order to manage employees' schedule. Occasional holiday hours are required.
