General Cleaner
Job Description
- Looking for good people to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness and appearance of assigned areas
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- Dust and wipe down surfaces
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors
- Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to supervisor
- Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment as required
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment, such as buffing machines, is a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.
