Full Job Description Overview Facility Custodian:

Part time, evening/weekend. 15 hours per week. Pay rate $16-$18 /hour. Effectively clean and maintain presentable facilities at First Presbyterian Church buildings and perform small maintenance items. Knowledge of cleaning principles. Ability to work independently. Must pass a background check.

Facility Custodian Overview:

This position is to effectively clean and maintain presentable buildings at First Presbyterian Church. Duties and responsibilities are ever changing and broad. They include but are not limited to the list below.

Primary Responsibilities:

Keep the Fellowship Hall area, Kitchen, Sanctuary, Activities Outreach building (AOC), and surrounding areas clean and presentable by developing routine schedules for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly needs. Vacuum, sweep, & mop all floors, clean bathrooms. Empty bathroom and other garbage cans and place in dumpster. Stock bathroom toilet paper, paper towels, and soap dispensers. Clean exterior/interior glass entry doors. Vacuum and mop stairwells. Clean interior doors, door frames, window seals. Turn in inventory of items/supplies needed. Report any leaks, problems, issues, safety concerns or emergencies to Facility Business Administrator immediately. Deep clean areas in the summer when schools are not in session. Occasional cleaning of monthly and quarterly items. Perform other cleaning duties when needed or requested. Maintain outside areas of building, free of debris, insect nest, spider webs, etc. Be available as needed including evenings/weekends for emergency issues. Maintain an organized & proper storage of chemicals, consumables, tools, equipment, etc. Help set up and tear down chairs, tables, etc. occasionally for events/special programs. Competencies and Skills Knowledge and understanding of organizational, cleaning, and maintenance practices and principles. Ability to bend, squat, walk up/down stairs, lift/move heavy objects, and stand for long periods of time. Ability to self-motivate and work independently. Strong communication skills. Strong planning and organizational skills. Christian traits and personal relationship with Christ. Ability to pass background check. Ability to maintain minor repairs to doors, windows, cabinets, floors, ceiling, etc.

Employment Status:

This job is expected to take 15 hours a week. Hours must be turned in weekly.

Benefits:

$1204 monthly salary, contingent upon successful performance of duties and fulfillment of hours. This is a part-time job with no benefits.

Business Administrator - Facilities.

Vacation Policy:

Schedule is flexible, notification to the Business Administrator-Facilities must be made in advance for time off. August 2026

Revision/RTP Pay:

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 per week
