CCA Custodian

Position Summary:

The Janitor/Custodian plays a vital role in ensuring that the school's facilities remain clean, safe, and conducive to a positive learning environment. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning & Maintenance:

Clean classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas daily. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, walls, windows, and furniture. Disinfect high-touch areas, including doorknobs, light switches, and handrails. Maintain clean and organized janitorial closets and supply areas.

Waste Management:

Empty trash bins and recycling containers throughout the school. Ensure proper disposal of waste and recyclables.

Restroom Sanitation:

Ensure restrooms are sanitized, stocked with necessary supplies, and well-maintained at all times. Perform regular checks to ensure proper function of toilets, sinks, and soap dispensers. Support for

School Events:

Assist with the setup and cleanup for school events, including assemblies, sports activities, and meetings. Provide support during school functions by ensuring cleanliness in event spaces before, during, and after activities.

Safety & Maintenance:

Report any maintenance issues, such as broken fixtures or plumbing problems, to the Facilities Manager. Ensure all cleaning products and equipment are used according to safety guidelines.

Physical Requirement:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift for extended periods. Ability to carry heavy loads, including cleaning supplies and equipment. Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals and materials safely.
