Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Handle chemical agents safely by following proper procedures for storage, mixing, and disposal to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct routine sanitation of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas in accordance with health and safety regulations. Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, minor repairs, and painting to support overall facility upkeep. Follow safety protocols diligently during heavy lifting or manual handling tasks to prevent injuries. Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly. Skills Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial cleaning practices. Skilled in handling cleaning chemicals safely while adhering to chemical handling safety procedures. Familiarity with various cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and sanitation tools. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, manual handling, and facility maintenance. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed. Ability to perform physical tasks that require heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking. Knowledge of custodial best practices for floor care, sanitation standards, and general facilities maintenance.
