A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and safety across active construction zones. This role ensures that debris, dust, and hazardous materials are properly removed to support a safe and efficient work environment. Duties include cleaning floors, surfaces, restrooms, and equipment, as well as assisting with seasonal tasks and minor maintenance reporting.

- Must be 18 years of age or older
- No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided
- No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required
Preferred:
- 1 year of similar work experience in janitorial or construction environments
- Customer service experience
- Clean and maintain construction site facilities, including trailers, restrooms, and common areas
- Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to surfaces and fixtures
- Notify supervisor of needed repairs or safety concerns
- Maintain effective communication with site personnel, supervisors, and team members
- Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards set by the company and regulatory authorities
- Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, walls, ceilings, and equipment
- Move boxes, crates, and equipment to access cleaning areas manually or with hand trucks
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate tools and solutions
- Wash and replace blinds as needed
- Gather and dispose of construction debris and trash
- Perform seasonal tasks such as sweeping walkways, raking leaves, cutting grass, or removing snow
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and food service areas
