In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are upheld. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Handle chemical agents safely while using cleaning supplies and equipment, adhering strictly to safety protocols. Operate various cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, polishers, and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition. Conduct sanitation procedures in restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure compliance with health standards. Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or minor repairs to support overall facilities upkeep. Follow safety procedures during heavy lifting or manual handling activities to prevent injuries. Maintain detailed logs of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly. Qualifications Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices. Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools. Ability to handle chemical agents safely following proper chemical handling safety procedures. Strong manual handling skills with an understanding of safe lifting practices for heavy objects. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to sanitation standards and safety protocols. Customer service skills are a plus for interacting professionally with staff and visitors. Prior experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is advantageous.
