Job Summary The Parts Cleaner is responsible for the safe and accurate cleaning, conditioning, packaging, and shipment of burned or milled parts material. - Promoting safety, quality, operations performance and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Processing a variety of information in electronic and written form for the purpose of completing work orders. (Cleaning, packaging, staging or loading onto pallets, skids, trucks or production tables).
- Ensures that the warehouse and tools are properly maintained to promote safety and operational efficiency.
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions as required by company policy and management.
- Follow all company policies in regard to safety and operation of equipment.
- Monitor the system for orders to arrive, parts that need to be cleaned, packaged, staged or loaded in a timely manner.
- Accurately account for orders you are actively working on in the automated computer system.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Unload material from processing station using overhead crane, industrial fork truck or hand manipulation.
- Finishing, conditioning and preparing parts with the aid of grinder, scrapers and other handheld manual, electrical and pneumatic tools.
- Inspection of processed material to ensure compliance with work orders and customer requirements.
- Stacking and packaging parts for shipment by themselves and on pallets or skids using banding, blocking or wrap techniques per customer specifications.
- Advise machine operator and plant operations of errors and/or required repairs.
Perform other related duties or assignments and work additional and/or different hours as required. Required Skills Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety practices. General familiarity with or ability to learn hand tools and equipment. Ability to inspect materials for quality and customer requirements. Attention to detail and accuracy.
