Summary of Position:

The Porter will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall upkeep of properties. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the community is welcoming, safe, and well-maintained for all residents and visitors.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the interior and exterior common areas, including hallways, stairwells, parking lots, and landscaping areas. Ensure trash removal and recycling are managed effectively across the property. Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, cleaning windows, and repairing minor issues. Ensure the property is free of debris, litter, and clutter, maintaining the overall aesthetic of the complex. Monitor the condition of amenities, report any maintenance issues, and assist with upkeep as directed. Assist with resident move-ins and move-outs, including preparing apartments for new tenants. Provide support during inspections and audits of the property. Deliver excellent customer service to residents, responding to inquiries and assisting with needs when possible. Maintain and organize cleaning and maintenance supplies. Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards and company policies. Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Previous experience in property maintenance, janitorial, or similar roles (preferred). Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and standing for long periods. You may be required to participate in On-Call rotation in this position Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Reliable, with a strong work ethic and a focus on delivering excellent service. Ability to handle minor maintenance tasks and report issues to the Property Manager or maintenance team. Basic knowledge of safety procedures and cleaning chemicals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact professionally with residents, staff, and visitors. Valid driver's license (if applicable for property needs). Customer Service Commitment Demonstrated dedication to providing exceptional customer service.
