Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to uphold high standards of cleanliness. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners safely and effectively to maintain various flooring surfaces. Handle chemical agents following strict safety protocols for sanitation and cleaning tasks, ensuring proper storage and disposal. Conduct manual handling of cleaning supplies, furniture, and equipment with safe lifting practices to prevent injury. Maintain facilities by performing minor repairs or reporting maintenance issues promptly to ensure optimal operational condition. Follow safety procedures diligently during all custodial activities to protect yourself and others from hazards. Provide excellent customer service by addressing facility-related questions or concerns from staff or visitors professionally. Qualifications Proven custodial or janitorial experience with knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and equipment operation. Familiarity with chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards required for effective cleaning. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols. Experience with floor care including buffing, polishing, and maintaining various flooring types using appropriate equipment. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to ensure thorough cleanliness throughout the facility.
