Job Summary Seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain the cleanliness and organization of our metal fabrication facility. This role is essential to supporting a safe, professional, and productive work environment across the plant floor, offices, and break rooms. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is dependable, and can work independently with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Perform daily collection and disposal of trash from production areas, offices, break rooms, and restrooms Sweep, mop, and maintain clean floors throughout the plant floor and office spaces Clean and sanitize break rooms, including tables, countertops, sinks, and appliances Clean and restock restrooms with supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.) Empty and reline trash and recycling bins throughout the facility Dust and wipe down surfaces, fixtures, and equipment exteriors as needed Spot-clean spills and debris on the shop floor to help maintain a safe working environment Maintain cleanliness of common areas, hallways, and entryways Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to management Assist with general upkeep tasks as assigned, which may include light organizing, window cleaning, or seasonal cleaning projects Properly store and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, particularly when working around industrial equipment (laser cutting, press brake, CNC areas) Clean industrial equipment that may be oily, greasy, or heavily soiled as part of routine and deep-cleaning duties Lift, move, and dispose of scrap steel and metal debris, up to 40 lbs Operate a fork truck as needed to move scrap, materials, or equipment around the facility Qualifications Previous janitorial, custodial, or cleaning experience preferred but not required Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Comfortable working in and around an industrial/manufacturing environment Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 40-50 lbs (trash bags, supplies, equipment) Ability to push/pull cleaning equipment (mop buckets, carts) Ability to work indoors in a shop environment with varying temperatures and noise levels Work Schedule Sunday-Thursday, 3rd shift: 11 pm - 7 am

Pay:

$18.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
