Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor to join our facilities maintenance team. Duties Perform routine cleaning of floors, windows, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies. Conduct specialized cleaning tasks such as pressure washing exterior surfaces and detailed window cleaning to maintain high standards of appearance. Handle chemical cleaning agents safely in accordance with health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain cleanliness of laundry services when applicable, including washing, folding, and organizing linens or uniforms. Operate and maintain various cleaning tools and machinery, ensuring they are in good working condition. Follow sanitation protocols to prevent infection control issues within the facility. Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving supplies or equipment while adhering to manual handling safety procedures. Support custodial operations by managing waste disposal and replenishing supplies as needed. Ensure all cleaning activities comply with health standards and organizational policies. Requirements Prior custodial or janitorial experience in a commercial or institutional setting is preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, window cleaning, and sanitation procedures. Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as pressure washers and floor buffers safely. Familiarity with chemical handling protocols and the use of PPE for personal safety. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged periods of standing or walking. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively. Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and responding to facility needs.
